Penguin Hugs - Little Claire

Yeh drum roll please.........................Penguin Hugs such a cutie design from Little Claire.  As our DT Helen has used this new stamp in her Friday Project today......................we are allowed to share............so here are a couple of my little makes..................

My first card has used traditional colours, a little torn vellum and a memory box die snowflake.
Card number 2 has an embossed background - loved doing some embossing - had forgotten quite how many designs I have..............a little Washi Tape, a die cut vellum flower fixed using a brad.........using a contemporary colour scheme.................Penguin Hugs is an ideal stamp for quickie cards................

I have diarised this posting - we should be travelling home from Cornwall today..................strange things.......returning from our Summer escape and posting a Christmas card.......back to work on Monday.........and yes am looking forward to it..........................honestly!  xxGaynor

More shares......with Little Claire

Hi,

I am trying to be organised......honestly - busy packing for our escape to Cornwall.......and the weather forecast is mixed.......thinking it was much easier to pack in April to be honest.........so am taking my knitting to keep me occupied if there is too much liquid sunshine and diarising some blog posts for shares of cards recently created using the newly released Little Claire Stamps..........sneaky update.......their new Christmas Stamps are really, really lovely but I am not allowed to share any yet........so looking forward to seeing what my DT buddies have created............yes I have to wait too...................but.......................the September Project Stamp Set is just.................................a NEED!

I so love the lighthouse silhouette stamp - backing papers were freebies from a recent craft magazine, enjoying using the paper technique again..................
So love this image - many uses me thinks - such a strong image needs very little!
Lastly another in the Little Claire Tree House series - Wedding Birdhouse, such a beautiful image and so easy to create a special card...................that can be personalised for the recipients........

Well not so bad 4 more cards to share...............................hope you like my little makes...................Cheerio for now...................xxGaynor

Little Claire Blog Challenge - Man's Birthday Card

Time for an update - the latest challenge over at Little Claire is to design a card suitable for a man's birthday. So I had a look through my stash and revisited the beautiful stamp of a little boy and dog posting a letter - Lovely Jubblies Keep in Touch.....I will be using this image again and again........not quite sure why it has escaped me for so long.  Together with the image I have used a Rebecca's Sentiments Stamp for Uncle........whose birthday it was on the 13th August.......
......and yes I have upcycled some envelopes and backingcard which contained postage stamps.  I have used newsprint card candy and a little baker's twine.  Shaded as per usual using my promarkers.  Off now to check on my  fellow DT makes.........xxGaynor LCDT

Please check out the Little Claire Inspirations Gallery - lots of brilliant makes created by the Design Team!

Believe it or not - now busy working with new designs for a certain season of the year..........missing the bright citrus colours already..................but then getting out the glitters and faux snow is pretty cool this time of year also..............

Hope you likey..........................xxGaynor

August already.......Friday Blog Project

Good morning, Gaynor here from the Little Claire Design Team with this Friday's blog project.

I have used the beautiful Little Bird Tree House set which was the June Project Club pack and the recently released Garden Birdhouse stamp.

I began cutting a 12 x 12 piece of Bazill cardstock down to A4 size and folded the card into 4 sections......I then used my Martha Stewart Punch along the top to create a decorative border and Die Cut the bottom edge with my die as shown.

I cut a little off the "legs" of my card to make it more stable.......

I cut four pieces of white card stock 6.5cm x 16.5cm.  Stamped images as shown and coloured with my trusty promarkers.

Stamped images adhered in place using double sided tape.  Little punch butterflies added.  I embellished with little pearls into the punched border and used a little "Twinkle" pen on the butterflies to highlight.  I created a faux border around each of the panels and trails for the butterflies using a fineliner promarker.

Has been a delightful and busy week - my cousin and aunt have been staying with us for a few days - has been very special almost 20 years since I last spent time with my cousin from Leicester!

Sending lots of love from everyone at Little Claire xxGaynor
